The Master is having a District meeting: Sunday March 7, 2010, 1:30 PM St. Leonard’s Catholic Church 57 Dorsey Mill Road Heath, Ohio 43056
Ohio District 3 will hold the Mandatory Biannual District meeting for the purpose of nominating qualified candidates to be a Master of the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus. Supreme has mandated that per the Supreme Laws Governing the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus, Article V, Section 14 District Assemblies, that biannually on even years in the months of March or April the Master shall call a meeting for the purpose of the selection of three recommendations for Master.
Per the Supreme Laws Governing the Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus, Article V, Section 14 District Assemblies, sub section (a) The District Assembly shall be composed of the current Navigator of sub Assemblies, plus one delegate for every 100 or fraction there of Sir Knights on the Assembly Roster as published by Supreme on January 1, of the year the meeting will be held.
The Names of the Navigator, Delegate(s) and the Alternate(s) must be mailed to the District Executive Secretary Shawn Ansbro at 6153 Cherry Hill Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43213 and received prior to February 16, 2010 to be eligible to vote. However, in lieu of mailing the completed form you may e-mail the names of your Delegates to Shawn at .
If your Assembly wishes to nominate a Brother Sir Knight to be nominated for the next Master of Ohio District 3 then his name and a short bio, itemizing why you believe he would make a good Master should also be forwarded to the District Executive Secretary prior to February 1, 2010. His name will then be added to the Ballot and your Assembly will be allowed a 5 minute Nominating Speech and a 2 minute Seconding Speech. You may nominate someone from a different Assembly than your own; however each Nominee will be allowed only one Nominating and one Seconding Speech. Additional Seconds will be taken by Assembly Number only and recorded as part of the Official Record.
All Ohio District 3 Brother Sir Knights in good standing are welcomed to attend the District Meeting, however only Delegates or their duly elected Alternate may vote or serve on any committees.
As with all Ohio District 3 Meetings your families are invited and welcome to attend; during the Brothers Only portion of the meeting there will be a separate Ladies meeting hosted by Lady Maria Giametta to discuss the April Exemplification and the Ladies activities and programs at the Exemplification.
