Larry Moegling

Larry Moegling serves the Ohio State Council as the State Deputy from the Diocese of Steubevnille.  Larry is a member of Marietta Council No. 478 where he served as Grand Knight from 1992-1994.  He is also a Sir Knight with Bishop Hartley Assembly No. 480.

 A native of North Canton, Larry and his wife of 31 years, Mary Lou, reside in Marietta and attend St. Mary Church.  Both Larry and Mary Lou have retired as educators.  Larry retired from Fort Frye High School in Beverly, OH after 30 years as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal.  He served as the principal for the last six years of his career.  He now teaches on a part-time basis as an Adjunct Professor (English composition and Spanish) at Washington State Community College in Marietta.  He earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Ohio University.  Mary Lou recently retired as a high school librarian and grant coordinator for Marietta, Meigs, and Trimble Local Schools.

 Larry is currently serving on the Executive Board of Directors for the Washington County Habitat for Humanity.  He serves on the Public Relations and Human Resources committees of that Board and also as a Family Nurturer.

 Larry and Mary Lou raised two daughters, Lori, 28, and LeeAnn, 27, who is a kindergarten teacher in the Fort Benning area of Columbus, GA.  LeeAnn is also a 2nd Lt. with the U.S. Army Georgia National Guard.  At present, they have one grandchild (two-year-old Claudia) with another grandchild on the way.  Larry’s father was a member of Canton Council No. 341 before his death.
